Laboratory of X-rays and molecular materials of the University of La Laguna
(P.I. Catalina Ruiz Pérez)
The X-rays and Molecular Materials group in La Laguna is specialized in X-ray crystallography and the role of the structure in the magnetic properties of coordination compounds.
The research lines of the group include:
- Complexes derived from polycarboxylate ligands designed to bind pairs, quartets, of metal ions.
- Infinite 2D and 3D coordination networks with interesting magnetic interactions.
Frequent local access to X-ray diffraction is available as well as the experience for structural characterization of molecular materials and their properties. Neutron diffraction experiments are also a field of expertise of this group.
