What is La Factoría? La Factoría Española de Cristalización is an initiative financed by the programConsolider/Ingenio-2010, the Junta de Andalucía and the Consejo Superior de investigaciones científicas for the creation of an integrated platform of investigation(research), development and services in crystallization and crystallography. As such, La Factoria constitutes a collective effort of nine Spanish groups of research in crystallography and crystallization for: |

La Factoria is conceived therefore as an environment that combines the research of border in Crystallography with a decided component applied of rendering of crystallographic quality services to companies and groups of research in biomedicine, pharmacology, biotecnology, nanotecnology, sciences of the nature, science of the materials, etc. Our determination is that any Spanish group that aisle,synthesizes, or for any other method, develops a molecule or potentially interesting material could have access, with the level of sufficient confidentiality, to the knowledge and the technology necessary for his crystallization, data acquisition from diffraction and resolution of his three-dimensional structure. The project is coordinated by Juan Manuel García Ruiz from Laboratorio de Estudios Cristalográficos.

What services are available in La FactoríaLa Factoria has the scientist - technician personal and the neccessary equipment to solve problems of purification, crystallization, characterization of crystals, obtaining diffraction information in laboratory sources and in great facilities and structural analysis of this information (resolution of structures). Any group that has problems of this nature can raise his case to La Factoria with total confidentiality. If you are user or member of the research group, you will be able to access to its private contents after login, if you are a visitor of La Factoría, you will be able to accede to the public contents of the web site that include information about the aims, activities and progresses of the project, the participants research groups, the training activities that we organize as well as the events and relevant news in crystallization and crystallography, specially the relative ones to actions and aims of La Factoria.
